About Dennis Fiore, Founder and Principal of Collaborative Resource Planners, LLC

Dennis Fiore founded Collaborative Resource Planners, LLC in 2025 with a clear vision: to bring people together to plan, innovate, and achieve shared success. With more than 26 years of experience in fire management, community collaboration, and natural resource management, Dennis has built a career on partnership, problem-solving, and helping agencies and organizations achieve meaningful results.

Before launching Collaborative Resource Planners, Dennis served in leadership roles across four U.S. Forest Service regions, where he directed wildfire prevention, cooperative fire, and community mitigation programs. He managed large-scale initiatives supporting training, equipment acquisition, and interagency collaboration, and co-developed the National Wildfire Prevention and Mitigation Strategy. His work also extended to FEMA emergency response efforts and environmental sustainability initiatives through his leadership of the Greening Fire Team—an interagency effort focused on reducing the ecological footprint of wildfire operations.

His experience also includes international fire management missions in Zambia, Mozambique, and Armenia, where he helped build local capacity and develop fire management strategies for national parks and conservation areas. Earlier in his career, Dennis held key positions with the Bureau of Land Management, the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation, and The Nature Conservancy—gaining firsthand experience in project management, ecological restoration, and collaborative land management.

At Collaborative Resource Planners, Dennis leads with a simple philosophy: that the best outcomes come from collaboration, clarity, and creativity. Under his guidance, the company provides consulting, technical writing, and project management services within the land management arena—helping clients navigate complex challenges with solutions that are both practical and forward-thinking.
